Over 90 thousand children continue to benefit from school feeding during the pandemic

This week, the Planet Aid Food for Knowledge (FFK) school feeding program began the process of distributing take-home rations of food to 92,278 students in the districts of Manhiça Magude, Matutuíne and Moamba in Maputo Province. The Food for Knowledge project is a comprehensive school feeding, nutrition and education initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) as part of the McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program.

ADPP assists 3,000 families in Nhamatanda with post-cyclone IDAI Economic Recovery Activities

ADPP, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and in coordination with the IDAI Post Cyclone Reconstruction Office, started in July the implementation of livelihood and economic recovery activities for the most vulnerable communities and families in Nhamatanda district, based on a survey of the needs identified in the data collection of beneficiaries.

ADPP at the International AIDS Conference 2020

Under the theme “Improving HIV case detection and treatment initiation among female sex workers in Mozambique: Results of a project in Niassa, Gaza and Zambezia provinces”, ADPP will share with the Conference participants the success it is having in implementing the PASSOS project, implemented in collaboration with FHI360 and funded by the United States Agency for International Development, USAID.

Project HOPE increases adherence to antiretroviral treatment in Cabo Delgado

Ongoing since 2016, the Hope Cabo Delgado project, implemented for five years by ADPP in partnership with the Ariel Glaser Foundation Against Pediatric AIDS and in coordination with the Ministry of Health (MISAU), through funds provided by the CDC, covered seven districts (Moeda and Muidumbe Chiure, Ancuabe and the city of Pemba), where it sought through various actions to reduce new HIV infections and the reintegration of absentee patients and others who had abandoned treatment.
