ADPP launches "Girls Inspire" project in Maputo

After having implemented the same project in Nacala, Nampula province, ADPP Mozambique has recently launched in Maputo, the project "Girls Inspire" whose objective is to improve the skills and livelihoods of 800 girls and young women, of which 500 girls attend school and 300 young women are outside of the National Education System. This is a group of women aged between 15 and 30, living in the neighborhoods of T3, Patrice Lumumba and São Damaso.

More than 73,000 girls have been reached in the last two years by the Transform Nutrition project in 12 districts in Nampula province through Girls' Clubs that Inspire activities.

The Together in Cabo Delgado Recovery (RCD) project, implemented in the districts of Pemba and Metuge, by ADPP in partnership with Associação h2n, with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is supporting the socio-economic recovery of a target group of 3200 producers, between conflict displaced and host communities, organized in 64 clubs with 50 members each.

The ISET-OWU Higher Institute of Education and Technology held, on March 25, the XVI graduation ceremony, in which degree certificates were awarded to 80 finalist students, of which 32 graduated in Pedagogy and 48 in Education for Community Development.

The signing ceremony between ADPP Mozambique, represented by Birgit Holm, Executive Director, and Millennium bim, represented by Albino Andrade, Executive Director, took place on February 1 in the premises of Millennium bim in Maputo.
