ADPP assists 3,000 families in Nhamatanda with post-cyclone IDAI Economic Recovery Activities

ADPP, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and in coordination with the IDAI Post Cyclone Reconstruction Office, started in July the implementation of livelihood and economic recovery activities for the most vulnerable communities and families in Nhamatanda district, based on a survey of the needs identified in the data collection of beneficiaries. The project also integrates the components of promoting gender equality, social inclusion, solidarity and green growth.

ADPP at the International AIDS Conference 2020

Under the theme “Improving HIV case detection and treatment initiation among female sex workers in Mozambique: Results of a project in Niassa, Gaza and Zambezia provinces”, ADPP will share with the Conference participants the success it is having in implementing the PASSOS project, implemented in collaboration with FHI360 and funded by the United States Agency for International Development, USAID.

School Feeding Project supports 20,000 families in food products

To alleviate the impact of Covid-19 on family income and reduce malnutrition of school-age children, the School Feeding Project “Food for Knowledge” started the process of distributing about 20 tons of agricultural products from the gardens supported by the project, in four districts of Maputo Province.

School Feeding Project distributes soap to 3,000 volunteers

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among its beneficiaries, the School Feeding Project, a project by ADPP Mozambique and Planet Aid, distributed hand-washing soap to about 3 thousand volunteers, mostly parents and guardians of the students who benefit from the project.

Project HOPE increases adherence to antiretroviral treatment in Cabo Delgado

Ongoing since 2016, the Hope Cabo Delgado project, implemented for five years by ADPP in partnership with the Ariel Glaser Foundation Against Pediatric AIDS and in coordination with the Ministry of Health (MISAU), through funds provided by the CDC, covered seven districts (Moeda and Muidumbe Chiure, Ancuabe and the city of Pemba), where it sought through various actions to reduce new HIV infections and the reintegration of absentee patients and others who had abandoned treatment.
