EU Ambassador visits Inclusive Education project in Manica

The Ambassador of the European Union, Antonino Maggiore, visited the Chimoio School for Teachers of the Future this week as part of the "Improving Inclusive Education" project. Accompanied by the Finnish Ambassador, Anna-Kaisa Heikkinen, the Ambassador of Sweden, Mette Sunnergren and the Minister Counsellor of the Portuguese Embassy, Rita Araújo, they had the opportunity to find out more about the progress of the project and how the EPF-Chimoio works.

Nine (9) thousand women and girls from the districts of Marracuene and Manhiça are benefiting from a project called "Empowerment of Women and Girls", an initiative of the Commonwealth of Learning (COL), with funding from Global Affairs Canada, implemented in 5 countries, namely Bangladesh, Malawi, Mozambique, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The Integrated Education Project, implemented by ADPP in Cabo Delgado and funded by Eni Rovuma Basin, last week delivered fifty-seven (57) certificates to the same number of teachers who participated in the School Management Training Programme in the city of Pemba.
The ADPP-Kushinga project started last week the distribution of basic baskets to orphans and vulnerable children in response to the damage caused by Cyclone Freddy, which hit some provinces in the Centre of the country at the beginning of the year.
ADPP is participating in the VII International Congress on Environmental Education of the Portuguese Speaking Countries and Communities (CPLP) and Galicia, which takes place in the city of Maputo, at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Centre, from 4 to 7 July under the theme: "Environmental Education, the key to sustainability".
