Making the education system more resilient
Education is a basic human right, a public good and an essential prerequisite for building responsible citizens who can contribute to the development of the country. Humana People to People, an organization of which ADPP is a member, has been continuously training teachers for about 30 years, mainly for public primary schools where they are most needed.

ADPP in partnership with Word Jewish Relief (WJR), and in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Human Development (MINEDH), with funds from the Start Fund, have been supporting elementary school in Chimoio district since last December to create the conditions for a safe resumption of classes in the face of COVID-19.

The Governor of Maputo province, Júlio Paruque, led, in the district of Manhiça, the closing ceremony of the school feeding projecy “Food for Knowledge (FFK) of Planet Aid and Implemented by ADPP in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Human Development (MINEDH) in four districts of Maputo province over eight years, the initiative was financed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Program promotes improved school retention and builds support for formal education

MAPUTO, Mozambique – ExxonMobil Moçambique, Limitada, on behalf of Mozambique Rovuma Venture and the Area 4 co-ventures, and in partnership with Development Aid from People to People, celebrated the school reopening education program in Cabo Delgado’s Palma district.

The Resilient Livelihood Recovery Project, a program UNDP and the Mozambican government and implemented, amongst others, by ADPP in coordination with the Office of Post-cyclone Reconstruction (GREPOC), carried out this week, under the Recovery Mechanism (MRF), the delivery of self-employment starter kits to thirty women’s groups composed of ten people each.
