Training in Mozambique: advancing climate-resilient agricultural education

From 23 to 27 March 2026, CINOP (the Netherlands) and HAMK (Finland) provided a dynamic training week in Nacala, Mozambique, as part of the VECRA-MOZ project. Hosted at ADPP IP Nacala, the training brought together teachers, project partners, and stakeholders to further develop climate-resilient agricultural education.

As part of efforts to strengthen schools’ capacity to prevent and respond to natural disaster risks, the project “Strengthening the Resilience and Well-being of Teachers in Areas at Risk of Natural Disasters,” funded by the European Union through Expertise France and implemented by ADPP Mozambique, delivered 60 emergency kits to an equal number of School Disaster Risk Management Committees (SDRMCs) operating in the districts of Namacurra, Nicoadala, and Mocuba in Zambézia Province.

ADPP began, on February 17, the distribution of five tonnes of second-hand clothing to victims of the floods affecting the provinces of Maputo, Gaza, and Inhambane.

As a gesture of solidarity with the victims of the floods affecting the country, particularly the southern region, ADPP today delivered 1,429 family clothing kits, equivalent to 5 tons of second-hand clothing.
