According to Frances Ferreira, a COL representative, the project aims to promote gender equality by training women and girls in skills for sustainable livelihoods that will contribute to gender equality and poverty reduction.

Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Silvestre Dava said that this project aims to balance social relations between men and women. He also said that it was a project with very ambitious goals, but that the implementer, ADPP, had proven experience in implementing this type of project. We believe that although it seems like an ambitious project, it is possible to implement.

The time is probably short, but we already know the institution that is going to implement it, we are talking about ADPP, an organisation that we have witnessed its incredible strength in helping the Mozambican population. –

For her part, the representative of the Canadian High Commission, Zoe Boutilier, said that Canada has been a partner of the NINEDH for over 20 years, working to empower Mozambican women and girls. She reiterated the Government of Canada's contribution to supporting this cause.Women are an important part of this country's future. Their empowerment and well-being must be our top priority, so we are proud to support this initiative," she said.

ADPP's Executive Director, Birgit Holm, said that women often face disadvantages due to their gender, age, income, disability, education and so on, and that this project is here to change that. Women and girls are not helpless victims, they are sources of power for resilience and transformation, we have experiences of women rising up, against all odds, leading their homes and inspiring nations - said Birgit Holm, pointing out that ADPP's journey with COL to empower women and girls began seven years ago with the implementation of the "Girls Inspire" project in Nacala-Porto, Nampula province.
