ADPP at the 57th edition of the Maputo International Fair

ADPP projects were on display at the 57th International edition of Maputo (FACIM 2022), an event that took place from the 29th of August to the 4th of September, in the district of Maracuene, in the province of Maputo, under the motto “Industrialization, Innovation and Diversification of National Economy”.

On the opening day of the Fair, the Organization's stand, located in the Matchedje pavilion, was visited by the President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nhusi, who led the opening ceremony of the event. During his visit to the stand, the President interacted with the Organization's leaders, namely Ana Margarida Lemos, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Birgit Holm, Executive Director, and heard the testimony of a student about teaching at Iset-One World.

In the opening act, Filipe Nhusi defended that FACIM should be an opportunity to take advantage of the economic potential to be explored in the country's development corridors.

“The unexplored economic potential in several provinces of the country, serving as an opportunity for the mapping of value chains, within the framework of development corridors and special economic zones, where the SUSTENTA, PRONAE, PRODAP anchor programs and agro-economy projects stand out. industrial processing, respectively, in agriculture, industry and fisheries”- he said.

In a year in which the organization celebrates its fortieth anniversary since its creation, the main highlight goes to its interventions in the areas of Education, Health and Welfare and Sustainable Agriculture and Environment, where it reaches more than six million people annually.

During the event, the staff of the partnerships was present every day of the fair, committed to the search for diversified opportunities, in addition to giving the best explanations to the visitors who arrived in greater numbers at the stand to better understand the activities of ADPP throughout the country.

“We are happy with our participation in the fair and we have a positive balance. It was a moment that served to establish contacts that we believe will soon have the desired effect. We express our total openness and interest in being able to work with other companies in other sectors” – said Sérgio Muchanga, Partnerships Officer.
