Who we Are
ADPP Mozambique is Mozambican Non Governmental Organisation that functions according to the Mozambican Associations law. ADPP Mozambique was started working in 1982. ADPP’s main focus is to improve the living conditions of Mozambicans. ADPP is implementing development projects in all provinces, and is currently reaching 88 out of 128 districts n the following sectors:
- Education:
Higher Education, Teacher Training, Vocational, Primary and Secondary for vulnerable children and literacy training
- Health:
Prevention & Care HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria, etc.
- Community Development:
Water & sanitation, Health and Hygiene, Production, District development, Preschools, Environment, vulnerable children etc.
- Food Security:
Income generation, training and organization of farmers, re-enforcement of extension systems, linkages to markets, etc.
- Fundraising through Second Hand Clothes:
Operation of Processing Centers, wholesale and retail sales, creating job and training
business entrepreneurs
ADPP employs about - 2 300 staff and has over 2 million direct beneficiaries.
Over the years ADPP has worked in close cooperation with the communities and their local structures and the Government at central, provincial and district levels and has always aimed at creating capacity of the communities. ADPP has vast experience in training of family members, providing courses and training programs at various levels and target groups such as CBO’s, peer educators, volunteers, activists, farmers associations, primary school teachers, literacy facilitators and community leaders.
