Income generation projects
ADPP Mozambique implements income generation projects to fund other community development and social projects. Clothes and Shoes is the most geographically widespread project model ADPP-Mozambique has.
ADPP 2nd Hand Clothes is present in every corner of the country. It is our biggest contribution to the commercial development of Mozambique, and it is giving millions of people access to buying good quality clothing at reasonable prices. In 2010, we reached more than 5 million beneficiaries.
ADPP 2nd Hand Clothes project also contributes to economic development in rural areas through re-establishing a sustainable small scale trade network in the rural areas.
ADPP 2nd Hand Clothes develops human resources through on-the-job training and through special courses for staff. It has created more than 20.000 self employment jobs in the trade with second hand clothes and shoes from ADPP.
In 2010, ADPP had 14 retail shops operating under the trade name HUMANA. They are selling the cream quality of original quality clothes.
In 2010, ADPP Mozambique had 7 wholesales projects with 31 outlets, 14 retail shop and 2 sorting centers throughout the country.
